Aren’t you driving? :rage:

After the amount of beer I had?

Ha! I hadn’t noticed.

Thanks to Jim and Anne for a lovely day yesterday. Really nice to see everyone, eat too much and relax. Oh, and the hifi was great too!

Thanks Jim and Ann.

Horns sounding pretty glorious, a big step forward from my last listen.

Good to see everyone again and the horns are sounding great.

With the magic injections I managed to resist all the cakes but not even that was powerful enough to resist Anne’s breakfast

Cheers Jim and Ann for a great get together.

Thanks to Jim and Ann for a lovely day. Lovely house, great food and an awesome system - What more could you ask for! It was great to catch up with folks after so long.

It was good to see you again Ian, been far too long…
…great to see everyone else as well.

Special thanks to all those who brought cakes and other sundries. Those salted honey pies were epic
With Ann being around, it was a much more relaxing day (for me ) than last year.

Just listening to a few choons and chatting with folk who’ve become firm friends over the years was thoroughly enjoyable! :ok_hand:

Thanks Jim & Ann,

720 miles for the trip & well worth it!

Lovely to see you both & catch up with everyone else. The speakers were sounding terrific although I somehow missed hearing them playing vinyl.

Really enjoyed the bacon & sausage lunch rolls, the shepherds pie & the tarts. I also really appreciated a couple of Greg’s brownies on the drive home. A great weekend & I caught up with my soon to be 104 year old Aunt.

Yeah, there was very little vinyl played, just a couple of sides before you arrived. I think it was mostly because the folk who normally fetch along sacks of it didn’t come this time, so it was either my collection or streaming…
…Qobuz won

No matter, the system sounded fine with the streamer and the cdp

Bake offs have certainly changed

We used to bring kit to change in and out
Once people sort of settled on their systems that all stopped.

Then we bought music and loved hearing new stuff
That all stopped when we had streaming and could listen to anything.

Now we just bring cakes :grinning:

Priorities whittled to a point.

Gone full circle and getting closer to the original meaning of ‘bake-off’

For sure. Soon we will all be wearing cardies and Mary Berry wiggs.
