I started out looking at an Canon EF 400mm f/2.8L IS II USM to replace my f/5.6 now that a few are starting to appear at less testicle crushing prices…then got side tracked by the R5 :face_with_monocle:

How are you getting along with your new Sony A7III @coco

It’s sat in the camera bag because the weather’s been so shit! It’s actually substantially heavier than the A7R (Mk 1) and definitely feels chunkier.

Did some test shots in the house and high ISO performance is spectacular. Perfectly usably to ISO 6400. probably 4 stops better than my old 5D (Mk 1) at a guess (accounting for the increase in resolution - 13MP to 24MP).
