Pork Faff Therapy/ What are you eating?

Sambar - Margie Jaffreys recipe but this spice mix recipe (I halved it and it made fucking tons!!) and carrot
, courgette and cauliflower because that’s what we had.

Coconut, coriander and ginger chutney, a simple yogurt relish and dry peanut chilli garlic chutney, all from the Jaffrey veg book.

Don’t try the double six, too many bits in it.

I’m fucking delighted Jamie’s Italian has gone belly-up. In St Albans we have a big Italian community, loads of good Italian restaurants, so he opens one here. Do we have a decent sushi restaurant? Fuck no. I blame Jamie. I want decent Japanese.

I’m not a Japanese restaurant regular so I don’t know if it’s “good” here, but I like it and it’s within stumbling distance of my hotel. Would we dare to pick it above Red Dog though? [thinking emoji]

Been there, done the Devastator

Devastator does you, in my experience.

I’ve witnessed Pete see that off without breaking sweat. Can’t remember if there was dessert afterwards though.

I still look back on my “no chips” plan with pride

Pretty sure I didn’t have the devastator that time.

Maybe so. There was certainly a lengthy discussion of it’s merits.

Had Narelle’s version of Pete’s chilli.
3 days, shin beef, pork shoulder, and a plethora of dried and fresh chillies. Narelle also threw in carrots and a mixture of chick peas and borlotti beans.

Fantastic as usual.

I couldn’t agree more.

Roasted butternut squash, aubergine, courgette, spinach and goats cheese pie with roasted Jersey Royals, asparagus and little corn.
Oh and onion gravy,
