Where are you staying tonight?
What exactly is that Terry? It looks like a huge serving…
Staying in Llandudno for the week.
Pork belly. Well half a pig to be fair. Enormous serve for £14. Black pudding, veg and a pile of mash which resembled the Great Orme.
The place where the sun dont shine
I expected to be underwhelmed (it was Narelle’s decision) but I find it to be better than some seaside resorts.
In a similar vein Aberystwyth is work a visit too.
And devils bridge.
Drove through Snowdonia to Porthmadog today. Great roads and not a lot of traffic.
Its a beautiful area. Caernarfon castle definitely worth a visit.
Agreed mid-wales generally actually; very ‘under-visited’ and therefore rather
Conwy tomorrow. Caernarfon on Weds
We had a nice lunch in the garden of L’s Coffee & Bookshop on the High St but there was plenty of choice in Conwy.
Definitely heading to the Bank of Conwy craft brew bar, but we’ve had recommendations for half a dozen places. We’ll see.
Terry, make sure you wander 50m further down the street from The Bank to the Albion, the best pub in Conwy with a fantastic selection of Ales. We love Conwy for a pub crawl on a nice day.
We’re catching the train rather than driving for just this reason
Make sure you get to Rowen too, just 4 miles up the valley from Conwy but a fantastic pub with arguably the best beer garden in the UK (ok, maybe Wales then). Its a lovely village.
We were there yesterday on our way back from Portmeirion and Betws y Coed. It is indeed lovely.
Pulled pork toasty in the Bank of Conwy.
