Epic pizza in t’village pub. Again.
Made another Goan Chicken Vindaloo tonight. Getting much closer to the real thing now. Obviously, I’ll never get it to match a proper one, but it was delicious.
The food here continues to be difficult to deal with:
No spam two nights running, , and feck all chance of a fried egg . Chips were ok though.

We usually go to a place just north of Valencia. We are in Calpe closer to Alicante now. Move to a new villa tomorrow.
Do the cigarette butts add to the flavour?

Slightly OT, but I’m surprised at this
40 years ago I briefly saw how a large-ish institutional kitchen (3 meals every day for 100-150 people) worked and they were pretty merciless about not wasting anything they didn’t have to (excess cooked veg becoming tomorrow’s soup etc). I’m surprised that there aren’t food preparation companies who’ll pay farmers at least something for out-of-spec vegetables (as long as they’re not actually rotten).
