Poster art, vintage advertising and other drawrings

It’s a bit of a night for memories. Many years ago I used to dine at DB Cooper’s in Nashua, NH most nights.

Breakfast the next day from 7/11 obvs.

Hell of a compelling story, though I’d side with those who think he died out there.

You’re 50 years too late with that notion…

Funny lot, Septics…

Yes, a fascinating (and weird) story. Certainly an enigmatic character, bur money would appear to have been his main (only ?) Motive.

Bonnie & Clyde, Western outlaw culture, mass-murdering psychopath documentaries pretty much having their own TV channels, Donald Trump as president…

Someone broke reality some while back I guess :person_shrugging:

Yea, but, somehow, this one has a small, insignificant guy getting one over the man sort of vibe :man_shrugging: Sort of an Americanised Robin Hood, perhaps ?

Pretty sure he had every intention of hosing the lot on whores and drugs and drink and fast cars… So not much RH vibe, but I do see his point… And his Lord Lucanesque vanishment (another odious nonentity remembered chiefly for circumstantial reasons, fwiw), plus the fact he didn’t hurt anyone except (probably) himself…

From my extensive research, ie 20mins on Wiki and another random site, the only people who suggested he died were the feds who had a vested interest in discouraging anyone else attempting a similar heist. It didn’t work out as there were multiple copycat attempts, all of whom survived the jump and were arrested later.
I think he made it and is sitting on a beach with Andy and Red drinking beers and fixing up a fishing boat.

it’s one explanation, but . . .

Watched a few docs on him and the money that was found years later.

Do give the Lucan doc on Iplayer a watch.

It’s an excellent watch

I also think he made it and, as there were no fatalities or harm done, can only applaud him for his ingenuity / creativity / wish I could remember the fucking correct wordity.

Well they aren’t gonna say “It was a really successful heist, the cunt’s off with 200k and we have a 3000sq mile area to search that he may or may not have landed in, chances of finding him are slim to none.”

I think DB has spent the last 50 odd years languishing at the top of a very tall tree he landed on, with his stolen money keeping him company as the birds picked him clean.
