Puresound A30 volume control

I believe Guy, of Puresound fame, frequents this forum? If you/he does could I find out if the Puresound A30, with the number 6550, have a volume control you can remove from the signal path by turning fully clockwise and then be used as a power amp?

If it does do I need to turn it all the way anticlockwise when I turn it off?

Seeing as the Rega Elicit-r now only works for two hours I could do with controlling the volume remotely from the Auralic app and having the A30 act as a power amp.

You can use the A30 with the volume fully up. Just be sure to have whatever sources you use stopped when you first turn the amp on. You don’t need to turn it down to turn off. The A30 is probably a little more sensitive at its input than most typical power amps but if that’s an issue then leave the vol control at 2 or 3 o clock.

Thank you, I don’t think it’ll be an issue fully turned up
