Sad, sad loss. A great innovator and a really lovely bloke. Plenty of great music as a legacy but will leave a huge hole in music in general.
Very sad news, I don’t play guitar myself but appreciate and enjoy his playing, his music is other-worldly.
I think I’ve got all of his solo albums and a few albums with Gong, I’ll be playing some this week I think.
Sad news indeed.
He was only 70. 
Allan’s playing introduced me to four note per string scale patterns which necessitates some big finger stretches on the fretting hand. Of course he made it look absolutely effortless. A real innovator of guitar.
