RIP Hifi Wigwam

Genuinely one of the funniest things posted on PFM in a long time. Thanks for the heads up.

I knew someone who lived in Faversham and said I knew someone who had a Thai restuarant.
She said ‘Do you mean the Thai take away in town? Lovely family, my daughter plays in the same football team as their kids’
‘No the one outside of town at the crossroads’
‘Oh you mean the brothel?’

That conversation took place about 15 years ago!

He had his chef make me a curry when I went to buy an amp off him but that was all :grinning:

I remember doing room allocations for Scalford.
If Ob1 was exhibiting we found it best to have no one on either side of him or above or below!

Didn’t work when we had a vacancy and he decided to come on the morning of the show!

This would tend to explain why the resto is so little advertised as such! :joy:

I remember OB being haunted by ghosts

A massive thread ensued with high level spiritualism and weapons grade pisstaking.

If he was hearing banging and groaning in the night I doubt it was ghosts!

That’s as I remember the Wam, 2006 was around the time I joined.

I was a complete newbie who queried something to do with cables and received the full wrath of Serge

Learnt a lot, mostly what to avoid and I’m not necessarily talking audio. Drifted away in the 10s and missed the big fall out, never really reengaged but shame to see it go all the same. It was community for many. Good luck to the Maverick’s

Someone mentioned Dean - Wizzkid, he came around to a couple of early bakeoffs - don’t mention Fink!

There were a lot of Chris’s.

Dean passed the London taxi driver Knowledge test and was never seen again!

Yea, not good.

I remember one year he forgot about the show, think he ended up getting there at midnight with all his gear bundled into the boot of an estate.
