Scotch Brian made himself a GIANT target by being yer classic ex-pat who is more Scotch than the folks who actually fucking live there. He called me a racist, which I treasure to this day

Just posted own the Maverick to set the record straight .
Jampal asked some of us individually including me for funding for the first show he ran himself and got it . None of us asked who else donated . We trusted the man implicitly .I still do. Can I just say I don’t expect members who left here to flood back far from it but what I do expect is all forums to come together for the greater good of the hobby we love . Stu and myself want to create big systems from PFM , AOS , Audio Abattoir and the Mavericks as the end goal. It’s painful we don’t own the Wam as a copyright but the next best thing is to embrace this forum as a big show system even though we will never be able to really explain the narrative .
What Stu and me can tell you all is that none of the show team and mod team will ever take one penny from this place and the show for personal gain . We will try to fund this forum and show with no financial burden on any of the members .

I used to run a watch forum in the wild west internet days.
I reckon I averaged a threat of legal action a week (a lot of money and ego involved) and a death threat a month (Americans).

Happens everywhere. Happened in a massive way on a Tolkien usenet group back in uni days that ended in an alt.flame crosspost war and a mention in the BBC review of the first film and the audio usenet groups were no better.

I vaguely recall James getting a proper-old winking-starfish on when he got his first threat of legal action in the early days of the 'Wam, a couple of years down the line it stopped even being mentioned!
