It was a much more entertaining match than the current England snooze fest… we’re ponderous, even more annoying with May, Watson etc in the back line
I doubt that we would see such a fundamental re-structuring of the competition any time soon Rob…For a start it would require the formation and running of a second tier competition in order to facilitate relegation and promotion…
TBH I fear that we have larger matters to worry about with CVC buying a sizeable chunk of the six nations franchise…I can only see this as the beginning of the end of free to air terrestrial coverage of the six nations
There is already a second/third tier competition
It doesn’t have to be another tournament, although Gareth has highlighted one that could be used as a feeder, it could just be done off the international rankings at a certain date, for instance if we theoretically took today as the date, then if it was a European tournament then Georgia would be in next year, but if NH then it would be Japan.
The CVC thing is a worry, especially for those of us that can’t justify the cost of a Sky subscription.
After this year England would be twitching… Jones must be a bit worried
My poor explanation Waxy…Yes I’m aware…but they are in essence run by and as separate entities and whatever structure ‘might’ be put in place would need the approval of the Unions of current top six nations…
He’s looked worried a lot this tournament. Something needs to change, it’s been a long time since we were this consistently poor.
England outthought, outplayed and lacking on-pitch leaders to galvanise the troops. It was the same in the WC2019 final. I don’t see any improvement in these facets since then.
When they’re good, they’re almost unplayable. So much potential, but their lack of adaptation to both the referee and the opposition is killing them.
Run into contact.
Run into contact.
Kick.
Repeat.
It wouldn’t surprise me if Eddie’s tenure is cut short.
Pretty much…That game still haunts me to this day…
We’re so predictable. And now teams have learnt how to defend it we have no plan B. We stick with the Vuniopola brothers, Ben youngs, daly, even Farrell … not sure why, they have the odd outstanding game but rarely seem to do anything unexpected and special…
France-Wales looks like it’s going to be a proper game
Try fest
FoL#2 Lauren is swooning over Louis Rees Zammit in a most disconcerting manner…
What a game
And the ref is really keeping it flowing
France need a bonus point win to stay in contention…
Wales look the better organised side at the moment, but it’s a good close game.
A bonus point loss would do for Wales.
Both teams running hard onto the ball and using all 15 players, breaks the line and fast play means the defence hasn’t got time to form up so there are gaps… great to watch
If that try had been given I’m convinced she’d have had a mini orgasm.
