Big ask for Scotland to take anything away from this but here’s hoping.

Part of what made Eng v Fra such a good game yesterday were relatively few penalties and no cards.

Yellow card is a huge penalty against Scotland, should have been pen only
Glad Scotland got something out of that at the end of the half.
Seemed like nearly all of the game was played in the Scottish half, they are going to have to be a lot better at retaining the ball and play in Irelands territory
Far too many mistakes from Scotland and Ireland look far hungrier to every ball. Lucky we aren’t a lot further behind. Anyway we are still in it, chance to turn it around in second half.

Gareth Edwards was interviewed after the Italy v Wales game on Saturday, and they asked if his team from the 70’s would have beaten this Wales team. He said “yes but only just”.
The interviewer asked “only just?”
Gareth replied “well because 6 of us are dead and the rest of us are in our 70’s”

Why the fuck do we kick the ball away so much? We actually looked alright when we held it on those, sadly, too few occasions. Nothing special, just alright, but if we don’t try to play like that, we will never get good at playing like that.

Was busy thus afternoon and evening so just watched the game.
Managed to avoid the result so was probably just as frustrated and eventually relieved as everyone else!
Scotland should have put that game to bed in the first half not been chasing it in the last seconds. Not good enough. Fair play to England for digging a win out of that performance.
France ruthless against Italy, They did everything they didn’t do against England.
Superb performance, although Italy did enough to make it a game and not an exhibition.
