Settle 2024 Friday Sep 6th to Sun Sep 8th

Where are you located Andy?

Did you read his post

My head is still in holiday mode…. :man_facepalming::grinning:

Sadly yet a-bloody-gain events conspire to Settle block me so I’m afraid I won’t be able to come and cook up buckets of Indian veggie slop.

Ah, sorry Andy, totally the wrong direction for me :man_facepalming::grinning:

I’m currently located 50/50 between Devon and Wantage.
more info - Our house in Devon is currently being sold - likely completion is 17th Sept.
Will be probably relocating to Bournemouth
I will be able to transport all of my for sale items to Settle

Note I have loads and loads more stuff to sell

Hope they are agreeable to the swap!
Feel free to bring whatever gear you want - I’ll put up a summary of what we’ve got / need below

OK, less than 2 weeks to go so time for a food / gear summary.
Food first, natch!

I’ll put the usual butcher’s order in soon, including some gluten-free sausages. Any requests for veggie breakfasts?

Nick has kindly offered to do a pasta bake for Friday, with meaty and veggie versions. There will be about 20 of us so if anyone else wants to offer something to share the load then feel free.

Rob has kindly offered his Ooni so we can do Saturday lunch pizzas again, veggie and meaty, with gluten-free too.

I’m thinking of doing roast gammon for Saturday evening - any objections?
with veggie Wellington as alternative?

Hope that everyone will chip in with the usual contributions - Pasties, pies (savoury and sweet), cake, scones, cheese - and even fruit - welcome. Don’t overdo it - we’re only there 2 days (though Dean is coming…)

Any other suggestions welcome.

Bring your own drinks, as usual.

Looks as if we’ve lost Stewart Godfrey (vinyl4ever on Maverick) - his account has been deleted over there and no payment received.

Anyone else want to attend this extravaganza? Plenty of space left

I think I’m the only veggie :disappointed: I will bring porridge or eggs will do me for breakfast. I may be able to bring some home laid eggs but a couple of the girls are moulting so I will see. For other meals it sounds like there will be a veggie selection. I will bring snacks, cake, pies etc.

Thanks John - for both posts

I will have a Rega Elex-r by then which should be a better option than the Brio for the Diptyques but I can bring both. CD player is just an old school Technics but does the job.

The best thing anyone could bring for that main room is a couple of big rugs and a pair of curtains
