A mere five months after typing this, I have now actually bothered to do it. The result is… quite black;
This is the first time I’ve ever listened to the thing without the SME M2 on it (now in the possession of @Myrman). It’ll resume the business of being the main point of testing cartridges. For now, it has a Goldring Ethos on it;
On the other side, I’ve taken the Audio Note off and a Rega RB330 and Nd9 cart will be the permanent MM phono stage test pairing.
It’s quite odd to listen to it straight after that Michell Revolv has left the system. By any metric, the Michell is a pretty accurate bit of kit but this is something else again. As a test mule, it’s still impressing me nearly fifteen years after I bought it.

These have just arrived - The plan is to print another IWATA 330 flare but with a 20mm wall not 6mm and for 50mm not 36mm bore
