Nice
I’ve heard these and they are excellent, will have to pop over to hear again.
Nice Les Paul too
Very welcome any time Tim, pretty much retired fully now so lots of time for listening and tweaking
I could do with a few bits for my vortex too so save posting if you are passing leek
Will be looking to put together an isolation solution for the turntable next given how well the speaker one worked
Close up of chunky monkey, interestingly it came with Tim buckers which I think are quite rare now
It’s an 89 standard
Just a new second hand cable between my SUT and phono stage that matches my tonearm cable as well. Pleased as much better shielded than my other cables and was only £110 posted.
At least you’ve got one sweep. Once I’d got used to using a desk with 2 midrange sweeps it became very hard to use desks that didn’t have sweeps.
It is just a cheap desk to get us started putting on gigs, and to practice with.
It is a very long time since I used one.
Plan is to apply for a grant for shiny new stuff if it goes well.
A group of us are hoping to put on open mic nights and a few gigs at the local village hall. See how it goes.
Have booked acts for a thing in the summer that we sort of need to do the sound for.
This is one of the bands. I really like them.
Sweeps ? SWEEPS ?
You don’t need sweeps!
Just 2 hours of sound checks. That’s how real people do it ![]()
The Roadies’ Concerto.
Put a cartridge on PT tonight just trying it out now. Sounding nice.
Thanks Nick for dropping it off last week.
Looks ace ![]()
Annoyingly proficient. Try the phono stage for a laugh when you get a minute.
I’m after replacing my pro with one be interested to see how you get on with it. The pro has been great
Heads up I got it from Peter Tyson for £279 after registering for membership or something.
My baby is finally back ![]()
First time I’ve heard it in-situ for five months so listening to Sufjan Stevens’ Come On Bring The Illinoise (my usual goto for first time listening). I had forgotten just how amazing it sounds with the Direkts.
Nice to see it back where it belongs ![]()
Cheers Mike.
Just relieved to have it back and working although I’ll need to chase IAG up to find out exactly what they fixed as there was no paperwork in the box when it came back.
It will be interesting to find out just what changes IAG made to the Luxman as it sounds so much better than I remember. It does make me wonder if the problem had a made a more subtle appearance earlier than October.
