Is that an original HR100S or one of the new ones?
Even though I have just bought a new MC cartridge in the same price bracket, I am sorely tempted to give one of these a tickle.
It’s a rebuilt one. Upgraded by Mike with a full rebuild and new armtube. It’s 90% of a hrs200.
Love the cart, btw.
No. Its a Scheu Analog Das Laufwerk No.2 which should look like this when I have put it together (anyone know what that tonearm is? A pity that didn’t come with it)
A lucky dip?
Not sure Glen’s dip was that lucky…
Nice one Mr Wayward
Proof that @Myrman doesn’t just buy stuff.
I collected this lovely DAC from him this morning.
Does it do the job?
Can you pogo to the Pistols without the stylus jumping? ![]()
Nice looking turntable, Tacco tone arm.
Hasn’t entirely solved the problem but has definitely improved it. Not up to pogoing with the Sex Pistols yet, more pushing pineapples with Black Lace ![]()
It does seem to have bought the music more into focus / sharpened up everything too though ![]()
Finally in my clutches after a very kind offer from @crimsondonkey
Sort of 2nd hand.
Direct from my pals at Lean Audio but it’s been fully refurbished. Instead of £225 was £100.
Will replace the 800W Program Eminence Lab 12 driver.
This 1200W Program Definimax is much better suited to the Don Snyder tapped horn I built.
Will load it in and test tomorrow morning if I get time.
The Lab 12 woof will find it’s way into a 36Hz tuned sub - want to see what kind of kick that brings to the wedding party rig..
JBL L110 in lovely condition, the original owner was such a great gent to meet.
Intended for a second system, or rotating with my favourite Gershman’s.
They scale well with amp’s, not seeming to fussy. Play well with a sweet Marantz PM-4 that I have been kindly loaned by @J_B, and my CJ pre/power.
Stands and positioning are typically impactful, before I commit to the official stands I’m trying some others I have to hand. Or I may get a local joiner to knock up some similar to the £2k Kenrick ones pictured, as the extra height seems to make a difference.
I keep looking at the 4430 over on Maverick, but that would mean breaking out the chinos and running shoes.

A fabulous Fidelity Research piece and rare as hens teeth. Also a great match for Guy’s new cartridge…
Happy listening.
Any idea what the FRT-4 is like Wayne? I like the idea of multiple inputs as I intend on putting 2 arms on the Scheu Analog.
