My tuner is an Arcam - it sounds really nice (and no question R3 sounds best via FM), but Sudden Component Death Syndrome is a fact of life around here. Luckily, even really decent chewnuhs are 3p each nowadays.
Not sure if it has swung back, about a year ago you had people trying all sorts (multiple hundreds of quids for a Sony 2950 and over £500 for a NAT03) and now stuff like Meridian 504s are heading under £200.
This cost me £118.85 with an ebay code from an actual dealer so cheap lolz to be had.
