Momentum 4i.
Never heard those, made a mistake in buying some Momentum stand mounts after the Elites and they were fucking awful.
Think I replaced them with ProAc 1SC
The Momentum 3 was an odd thing; lots of drivers in a small space and it didnât always work brilliantly- although the Ministra and Magistra have since sorted it. The 4 moves the isobaric drivers to the bottom of the cabinet and keeps the forward midrange as a single unit. Itâs basically an Elite with an isobaric sub at the bottom and much the better for it.
Must get my old petites fixed.
Wish I knew how to open the bloody things. Even neat canât remember how to get into them.

Initially couldnât get Tidal Connect to work properly from my iPad - it connected ok but the volume was really low and didnât change even if I turned my amp right up ?
Downloaded the iFi app and plugged in a USB drive with loads of FLAC files on and that played perfectly. Went through the settings and turned off software volume.
I then did a firmware update which mentioned Airplay 2.
Then downloaded Tidal Connect on my iPhone and everything works fine with volume same as with the SSD drive. Havenât tried from my iPad again yet.

Havenât got the optical Ethernet thing connected yet as cables too short.

Couple of bits from the last few weeks, an ATC CA2 Preamp and Yamaha WXC-50 Player/DAC/Preamp.
The CA2 just as Iâve always wanted one and was available from a dealer at a bargain price so could not resist for the Living Room system. Needs a bit of switch cleaner as the buttons dont always âswitchâ.
Wanted to try the WXC-50 instead of my basic WX-AD10 in the now âmainâ Library system, few issues setting up with new Vodafone router but got there in the end. Not had a chance to properly compare as yet. Plan is to use it as a digital streaming source into the Lyngdorf TDAi2200 as the WX-AD10 only has analogue outputs.
Pretty happy at just over ÂŁ500 for the pair.
