I was listening to Buckminster Fuller by Add N To X earlier and the bass in it always makes me laugh it’s so good - I would love to hear it through them.
What I was really trying to gauge is what are the advantages of alnico, probably would be better in the DIY thread.
Speaking of DIY, any more tests in the rear horn cab?
That was intense!!
It’s so good - that from the ceiling to the basement effect they get is immense.
Excellent, just in time for my Easter cd sell off
Bought this rare and unusual Glanz MFG 61 Mm cart a while back and this is the first time trying out.
My mate Rob played drums with them, and we lived together for a chunk of that time. I saw Add N To X quite a few times. They were great live. Entire gigs played in front of a backdrop of hardcore porn movies . They were mad generally, and Ann Shelton in particular. He used to come back from tours with a crazy tale from pretty much very day he was away. One gig I went to she had a fight with a girl friend of hers in the dressing room which ended up with the pair of them on the floor punching each other repeatedly in the face. The band and crew just pulled back towards the corners of the room and let them get on with it. 10 minutes later the pair of them were standing around with a drink like everyone else, bleeding and bruised but as if nothing had happened.
Amusingly, she’s not the only Ann Shelton who was a singer, but the one I found is quite different:
That must weigh a bit! Mr Muscle Stu
Dread to think how much that weighs.
What is it?!
Something I’ll be stubbing my toe on for the next few years most likely
US Navy Collins COL-20242 power rectifier - Strapline: “If the weight doesn’t kill you the volts probably will”
Mmmm, the only shiny is the scalp it took
Scalp, fingers, feet this is an equal opportunities bone crushing door stop.
You are going with a dual mono power supply on the phono stage though, no?
