Very nice. Also worth checking out the Entre-100 too.
I had noticed them. Just wondered how good they were for the relatively low cost. Tbh I’m just hankering for an Air Tight ATH-2 on a budget
Yeah well, moons on sticks are more likely
After a very long wait, the Jico N-110HE Sapphire SAS stylus for my Shure P mount cartridge finally arrived. First impressions are that it was worth the wait. The SL-10 is singing.
Is that a known combo, Nick?
Not specifically although the previous owner had an OL on the Scheu for a while so the arm board was ready to go which made my life easier. I’ve never used an OL arm as yet so it should be interesting. It’s a Mk3 and I think the current MK5 version has a carbon arm tube but at £5.5k that wasn’t on my radar. I bought this direct from OL too which was a bonus.
I have two arm boards so hoping to add something else later. Maybe a 12"
Most tonearm companies; One
SME being pernickety and ‘thorough’; Two which rarely need connecting
Origin Live; All of them
One for true ground and lots for audiofool so called ‘grounding’ boxes?
Excellent arm you wont be disappointed, i use the 12inch one on my N/A Dais.
Arrived today and moving on to its owner probably on Monday. Preda 3 with custom wood end caps. Sounds adequate!
Raffle prize plumbed into KettleJnr1’s system and sounding decidedly nice even with a boggo DVD player as the source.
Boom
Compared to the ML is my question.
Who wins?
No comparison - this well beyond an ML, not even the same class at all.
The future is blue! Although I have it in my mind these are similar price?
I concur the Segno Maya is in another league to the ML. Imho
Having had chance to put a few more records past the Segno Maya I can only conclude that Guy is onto an absolute winner here.
The resolution is very fine indeed, it tracks extremely well and is incredibly quiet in the groove - much more so than anything else I have here (ART-1000, SPU Royal N, Hana ML and SL). The overall balance and tonal realism is impressive too. I’ve listened to all sorts and it really does let you turn it up and enjoy what’s on the record.
Well done Guy
