I prefer my black ones. Are they much different other than the finish?

Supposedly improved ‘Fluctus’ tweeter. I’m interested to hear if that’s true hence playing them quite loud all day today with Gill & the neighbours out. I do have a single, original Direkt in the garage so I may get that one out & see if there’s any measurable difference.

I think I prefer the look of the old black ones. They did need to do a wood option but really it should be wood all over & I think they’d shift a lot like that.

Definitely need a wood finish. Always liked these when I’ve heard them but can’t get around the finish. It would be nice to see them in walnut or oak finish.

I showed Claire these and she didn’t think they were all that much better looking than my black ones.

She actually preferred the silver driver bezels and legs on mine.

I prefer the white :grimacing: overall. Still quite like these ones, they are probably wanting them to look thinner!

The perfect car to match the white/wood versions.

I really like them, the single strip of wood makes them look narrower.

I’ve been trying to resist them since the pictures came out a while ago.;

Not sure how they would look in an all wood finish due to the round corners.
Out the options I’d go for white

I wouldn’t mind finding a tatty white pair, and repainting them Ducati red with white Corse stripes.

Red & White?! No! Black & fucking White!

Or maybe Porsche 917 Gulf blue with an orange stripe is more in keeping, with them being German and all that?

That’s exactly the connection I made too

Going off topic here, I’ve been thinking of painting my JBL horns and now you’ve given me a monstrous idea…

I think the 2 pairs I’ve had may be the first ones to come in via Henley who are now the distributor. Back in about 2021, the brands (Heco, Magnat etc) then owned by Voxx were acquired by another US Corporation and became part of the ‘Premium Audio Company’ stable which already owns Klipsch, Dali & various other brands. They were seeking commitment from their distributors (who included Henley) to place orders for 12 months in advance (preferably of multiple brands) but I wasn’t interested in tieing up that much, so now just do these as a stockist because they still fit with the relatively low powered amps I do. Not even sure how committed Henley are to anything else they’re offering so we’ll see how it plays out.

That’s a bit slow of them, thought the they were announced last year but found this article from January so at least 10 months ago.

When I talked to them at Bristol (February) they weren’t sure they were going to do them at all
