Shiny brand new second hand things in my system today

Don’t ever sell it. (unless it’s back to me)

And then thinking I wonder what it will sound like in this headshell on that arm and on a different turntable

When the Motus & Vertex are here, it goes on those & there’s a pleasing lack of character from either.
I try not to think about it on the FR or Groovemaster :grinning:

Trouble is, if I don’t try out all of the possible variations, I’ll never know which one I prefer.

This way is madness, but a sort of beautiful madness, if there’s such a thing.

Ask me again in five years, I might have tried them all by then

Pah!

Have you got your music room up and running yet then Paul?

Does the Kondo Io-m cartridge sound similar? And would I have to buy a new SUT?

Thinking about the one Kevin is selling?

Kevin? The guy at Definitive. Yes I am looking.

Think I read that the IO-M is similar to the AN IO2, don’t know what SUT you have but I think it should work with one of the audio note AN-SL transformers. I’m using the AN-S2L with my IO1 but have an old AN-S3L with silver transformers you can borrow if you get it and want to see how they sound. It is fairly noisy (hum) but changing its position does help a bit.

The Ios need a dedicated step up.

Los Bravos?

Is the 2 better than the 1?

What, to Android?

Yes, AN pecking order is:

IO1 (£2,800)
IO2 (£4,000)
IO Gold (£5,300)
IO Ltd (£15,000)

AN UK

I never realised the Gold was so cheap.

Remember there is the usual ‘ex-demo’ stock they flog direct at 40% discount.

A Kondo IO Ltd playing KiKi Dee is akin to being locked in a muffin factory with a mink glove and a wheelbarrow of Viagra.

I have an old vinyl record of Kiki Dee from the 70’s that has never been played.
