Pleased it went well
Pleased it went well for you
My left wrist / hand is absolutely killing me - cue lots of masturbation jokes.
Started yesterday morning and is getting worse.
Could hardly change gear or put the handbrake on this morning when I took the dog out.
I canāt even hold my phone to do a text message without it hurting like hell.
Presuming itās carpal tunnel related rather than a strain or break. Have ordered a wrist brace off Amazon.
Also had my PET scan on Thursday which should be the end of the cancer journey.
Congrats on nailing the Cancer Paul. Regarding the wrist, well, Iām sure Graeme has a few tips / recoās.
Yup, I do. See your GP.
26 years ago (I know exactly, for 40th birthday reasons) I went 3 days with a broken left wrist thinking Iād ājust sprainedā it. I bought a wrist brace from Boots which helped a bit, although max strength co-codamol helped a lot more. It was still non-displaced when an X-ray finally confirmed the fracture, and the non-displacement meant that it healed really well.
But if Iād persisted with it and somehow managed to break the two bone pieces properly apart then I could have ended up with the sort of āshockerā (the specialist consultantās word) that my right wrist fracture was/is.The less said about that, the better ā¦
Wrist still hurting like hell. Occasionally it seems to be getting a bit better but it soon reverts.
Wrist brace arrived yesterday and it does help while Iām wearing it.
Booked myself in with them local chiropractor tomorrow as Iāve been suffering back pain for the last 6 weeks or so and it just wonāt shift. Trying to get a good nights sleep is challenging. I will not be volunteering my services for anymore house renovations thatās for sure
Probably what caused the problem in the first place.
Give your daughter all of the guilt!
I see a chiropractor once a month , on days where itās really playing up I walk out feeling tons better.
Heād ideally like to see me once a week . Ā£40 for 20 mins I bet you would.
Two weeks on and apart from some remaining swelling and haphazard bowel movements, all is back to normal.
The first 8 days were horrendously painful, but daily improvement gives plenty of dopamine hits to get you through the rest.
Appetite is virtually back to normal. Iām off the pain killer rodeo, but chafing is a bit of an issue.
More worrying is the need to have a fourth Haemorrhoid done. Unlike the others, this one is internal. Knowing the pain and discomfort involved makes it difficult to commit.
Four more weeks before the official review, and we can discuss it then.
Back to work next week. Boooo !
Done young ,do it
Presumably youāre on top of dietary and posture/habit related changes youāve needed to make to avoid future recurrence? Guessing retirement will make all that a fuckton easier?
Iāve got a dietitian (?) referral early January. Which will be interesting given that one of the main solutions is eating at regular times .
My posture is weight related. Thatās a work in progress. I dropped 6 lbs this last fortnight .
Yes, a lot of it is about treading water without drowning.
Roll on retirement
Quite. Not taking it up the chuff from the man so regularly will be a welcome reliefā¦
I know three dietitians, all three should really take their own advice!
Yeah, not my choice. I had explained that much of the issue was due to shift work.
The NHS decided that I need dietary counselling
āThe train at platform 3 has been delayed due to @MGOwner eating a balanced lunchā
FFS!
Just as I was beginning to gain some freedom & get a life back following my recent hospitalisation & rehab I have this afternoon tripped up getting out of my nieceās car & ended up on my arse, twisting & bruising all the bits that were previously fucked!
Why I didnāt land on my good side is beyond me, but now the adrenaline has worn off Iām lying on my couch feeling very hurty, and VERY sorry for myself!
Fucking muppetā¦ Might learn to tie my shoelaces properly next time!
Thinking now might be the time to sort myself out with a āCare Co.ā account & get some velcro fastening shoes!
