WASHINGTON D.C. – GOP lawmakers are chastizing their Democratic colleagues, as well as members of the media, for inquiring about the 6 week disappearance of Sen. Mitch McConnell, insisting the lawmaker “has never been healthier” after being stuffed and mounted.

“How dare the fake news and the lying Democrats insist that the honorable Sen. McConnell is not able to carry out his duties,” insisted Senate Majority Leader John Thune (R-SD). “I just had a 20 minute phone call with the senator where his doctors informed me that the taxidermy process was a complete success. How else would we have gotten these great pictures?”

To further prove their case, GOP lawmakers insisted the 84-year-old lawmaker would continue hiding from public view “because the taxidermy went so well”. McConnell is expected to return to the Senate whenever the clock runs out on his Senate seat being replaced, or the giant marionette strings arrive from Austria.

In a related story, the body of Sen Lindsey Graham (R-SC) has been turned into a decorative area rug and placed prominently inside President Trump’s Oval Office.

Wonder if he knows Binface?

AOC just took nearly 87% of the vote in the NY 14th District Primary. (I confess - I have no idea why the US has so many different electoral activities unless it is to tire voters, and obfuscate results.)

But 87% isn’t a win. It’s a destruction. The only sort-of significant opponent tried to say she was ‘too radical’. Voters seem to disagree.

She’s been asked if she’ll run for President in 2028. The US could do worse. Much worse. Have done worse, and are doing worse. She’s not said yes, but also not ruled it out.

I like her. Not everyone does, of course.

I like her too. She’s feisty and very smart.

I’m not sure about her as president though. Above almost everything else, getting things done in that job requires compromising with people who are actually disgusting shits. Every so often you have to give them something they want to get something you want. That can mean betraying your principles and/or selling people who are relying on you down the river. I’m not sure she’s capable of that level of underhand behaviour.

She might be better staying on the moral high ground and stopping whoever does get the job from sliding too far down the slippery slope.
