Thanks for the amazing weekend guys! Just brilliant, John and John for all the MEAT and cooking, Micky for the breakfast and 48hrs of catching up and chatting shit.
Oh and thanks for Graeme for the ride, appreciate it!
Really very impressed with the BIG Snells too, alongside Guys monoblocks! Less sure about the glitterball phono cable.
Great weekend as always.
Glad the weather gave us a good day yesterday.
System sounded lovely and was surprised Ritchie took them away as I’m sure they will be making a return visit.
Food as usual was fantastic though I ate very little other than the pork, pie, custard tart, muffins, cheese biscuits etc
More importantly is the meeting up with old friends
Apologies for having to rush off earlier, but had appointments I couldn’t leave
Not sure if it’s water or oil,the water was empty after 6 miles driving so probably water. Was dripping from the thermostat earlier and I left before I had a chance to put some radweld Bob had.
Mot is due soon, excessive corrosion on rear brake pies was an advisory from last year.
I’ll get it looked at this week to see if it’s worth getting sorted or not.
Home again, home again. Car unpacked, perishables fridged, potato plants watered, curry for tonight out of the freezer (veggie, just to pull my meat-processing system back from the brink !).
Another triumph for the SW Collective !
Particular thanks to John, for organising everything and cooking too, Jon for lots of proper chefing, Ritchie for the speakers, Guy for the amps (Call those dangerous ? Someone hold my beer …), King Micky of Breakfasts, Barista-par-excellence Mark, everyone else who brought food, drink and music and, most of all, your very good company ! Guy and Steve for the swimming lesson (the water is unsafe to swallow and also ball-shrivellingly cold, so the lesson is ‘Don’t go swimming !’) and last but not least Rob Hoops for company in the car and for tolerating me getting honked twice (not normal for me - HGV on the way down and merge-in-turn man on the way home).
Looks like an epic couple of daze Guys. Remember those Snells sounding epic at the original Salford show back in The day. Guy details of the amp spec please parmeko iron ?
Currently in the Lopwell comedown phase after a great weekend where real life gets put on hold and real living happens instead.
Thanks to all those who put the effort in to allow us nutters to get together.
Looking forward to the next meat, er meet.
That’s the two sauce recipes. The eagle-eyed amongst you will have noticed there wasn’t any bone marrow in the main sauce when I made it; it’s very definitely optional.
