Is that box full of magic fairy dust?

What dark sorcery is this! :scream:

How do you know The Secrets?! :scream:

And the white lumpy things between the plugs and the magic box?

An attempt to maximise insertion loss density?

Different Magick.

You have been spending way too much time on diyaudio

Next you must quote Ohm’s law at noobs and tell them to “work it out for yourself like I had to!”.

Which is how 'tronics nerds tell you they don’t know something :ok_hand:

To be fair, as someone whose soldering ability is measured in kgs/successful joint anything RF is in “Here be dragons” territory.

I can solder adequately, but my theoretical knowledge is beyond piss-poor.

My entire knowledge of RF is that Faraday cages work better grounded, and that grounding unwanted RF does not make it go away!

Which is helpful.

I’ll put summat in a DIY thread about the white box foo to keep things O/T.

'tis but a prototype asbo tag.

Do you think I’ll need a bigger enclosure, or is that enough C4? I only want to take their foot off…

Govt propaganda wing can have one to sausage, haulage companies and businesses were warning of staff shortages from Brexit long before Covid but it’s suddenly a nice convinient get out…

Covid was a gold plated gift to this bunch. They just flip between blaming the EU response to Brexit with Covid to distract everyone from the real cause each time… and their poodle media back it to the hilt

Farming and food manufacturing are in deep trouble right now due to the post-Brexit exodus of labourers, especially youngsters who worked in slaughterhouses, field-picking, hygiene, &c (all the jobs Brits refuse to do). There is currently intense competition for labour and since supply<demand = rapid wage inflation, and so food prices have to go up - though godnose the fucking supermarkets are fighting it - because production costs are going through the roof.

If yer Brexit-voting coffin-dodgers and Karens don’t start paying more for food, the big farms as well as the small will simply cease production - they’re businesses, they can’t operate at a loss, but price-gouging supermarkets are trying their very hardest to try to force them to: but no EU subsidies = nowhere to go any more. The empty shelves thing won’t get better unless prices go up, or Britain sinks further into 3rd World status by importing all of its food - and even that will only work for a while before suppliers realise they can charge anything they want, because we will have no other choice…

Expect to start reading Daily Hatemail headlines scapegoating “fat-cat farmers”, accompanied with pics of Range Rovers and champagne any day now…

Yay! Sunlit uplands!

“Add Brexit into the equation, and the old assumption that companies can just hire extra people from Eastern Europe to fill any gaps can no longer be taken for granted”

On the plus side salaries are increasing to attract new workers, this should lead to less employer subsidy (shareholder subsidy,) in the form of universal tax credits.

Cockpunch to me for getting really annoyed that the news that Winston Bumblefuck and his GrimWifeTM are expecting another child is deemed worthy of the front page of every newspaper/website. He has at least 7 or 8 already so it is hardly an unusual event.

Reckon you’ll be ok with that, unless you get mission creep and become ambitious.
