Equal CP to me and karma.

Agreed the sale of the fridges today about lunchtime, which was painful, then during FoL2’s birthday dinner tonight cracked a molar right in half so emergency dentistry tomorrow (hopefully).

Hearing issues aside I was also selling to help FoL2 with a side hustle startup and TBH to stop me spending more money on kit making the fridges sound even better.

Just checked the cost of extraction and implant so fridge money gone.

On the plus side I will get some 2 way washing machines in the deal.

Moan away. I’ve got to go to the dentist tomorrow. It is never (a) something to look forward to and (b) easy on the wallet.

Thanks. My dearly departed old Mum was a dentist. Therefore I have a deep seated and pathological fear of dentists. Not looking forward to this at all.

I had a similar fear of dentists due to SCHOOL DENTISTS :face_holding_back_tears::face_holding_back_tears::face_holding_back_tears:

Ah, the good old days when children could actually get to see a dentist

Army dentists, they used to send them to training places to get experience. From just my basic training intake we calculated there were an average of 3 fillings per person done.

I joined up with zero fillings and got given 5 in one go, all of them rotted from the inside out and needed extractions or root canals years later.

I was put off dentists as a kid.
Minimum of two fillings every 6 months with no injection. Convinced it was a scam in the 70s.
Saying that,I really ate a ridiculous amount of sweets.

Remember having that awful gas once

When I was young and up to my mid teens my dentist was a stunning Swedish blonde with big boobs and so I loved to go

It was in later life that dental work was then done by a bloke with bushy eyebrows and bad breath that killed my boner.

It was a scam. They were paid on work done, so they always found “A wee hole” as my dentist would say. And to save money they never used anaesthetic. This is why at least two entire generations of us have a skullful of green-brown rotted fangs and big hunks of mercury amalgam.
Inside of my face is like some kind of a vision of Hell. So much work needs doing that I’d need to remortgage. Falsies before too much longer.

No whining about dentists here. Some of us had to deal with Orthodontists :zipper_mouth_face:

HMRC took 2 years to reply to a letter i sent them.

They are not fit for purpose and yet we still get penalised when they fuck up. Believe me, it has cost me dearly.

A complete joke, like this incompetent failed government.

Fines are their second-biggest income source - naturally (like a great many businesses) they incentivise themselves to fail, and make you pay for it.
