The all-new shiny cockpunch thread (Part 1)

perfectly expressed :ok_hand:

Unfortunately there are always some that do. Because apparently the difference between who someone is, and the actions they perform, are easily confusable.

Could easily refer to the idiots/cunts being banged up on Let’s Loot The Vape Shop

My mother in law is getting old and not nearly as sharp as she once was. We had been making plans for a peaceful end, but thanks to that article, we are now persuaded that pursuing her on horseback through a forest so she can be torn apart by rabid hounds would be a far more fitting end.

Thank you, Hunting Kind - you are a true inspiration.

I wish you all the best in your quest for persecuted minority status, you bunch of cruel, entitled inbred cunts.

PS your legal advisor sounds like a proper genius.

Classic silly season reporting. Luckily the football season has started to provide the circuses, if little evidence of the bread. Agree with all of the above by the way, and wonder whether these people really do consider themselves ethnically distinct from the rest of us. Possible Normans?

Fuck you Hive thermostat.

The seller left the Hive thermostat behind so I just bought a new hub and set it all up. Since then it has pretty much lost connection at least once per week. Boiler is in the loft so I have to go up and power off/on the boiler to reset the receiver.

Was using a Nest thermostat in the last place and think I had maybe one/two issues with it over 5 years.

Doesn’t fix the problem but could you cycle the boiler on/off from the consumer unit?

Did the hub update when you plugged it in ? I know dumb question but I’ve had two and I stalled at least 10 and had 1 issue in 10 years ?

The cunt that compiled our schedules can fucking have several. Windmilling. To the soundtrack of Robbie Williams’ greatest hits.

On panpipes.

Our lot talk about work-life balance and fatigue. And yet we have split rest days. A practice I believe has been dropped by the Met.

And we have these. Seven days on; one day off then back in for one day; followed by five days on.

If we’re lucky, the leading two days will be late middle shifts. Sometimes they’re two early shifts in the middle of a load of late middle shifts.

Does wonders for the body clock.

And they want us to smile at people.

Fuck off! Rant over… :innocent:

Ah… Right now I’ve calmed down, this particular part of the Rota is seven days on, one day off, then one day back at work, edit a single day off followed by five days back at work.

After that, it goes back to a normal seven days on, two days off, another seven day back in followed by a long weekend…

It’s difficult to describe this without posting a picture!

Excuse my ignorance, but is this not the same as 6 days back at work ?

Bugger. Yes, as I wrote it… I’ll edit as my post makes no sense…

Edit. Worked out hours before my split rest day. About 55 hours. So one day off after 55 hours, work a single day the off the following day before another five days run.

They get away with it because their Pay Week runs Saturday to Friday. So seven day runs are over two pay weeks.

There was\is one Rota where the total hours worked for a seven days stretch was 70 hours.

Wordle, get a fucking grip.

Cunt of a Bus Station Controller. I’m correctly parked; not running late; managing fatigue by way of having a kip.

Cunt bangs on the window. When asked why he was interrupting me at a Bus Stand, he asked when I was due to depart and said that someone raised concerns about a driver conked out in the cab.

I’m genuinely angry and last time I got this angry, things went in their local press.

Close to conniption.

I can’t make up my mind whether this is an attempt to absolve responsibility or corporate cuntishness. The ceo of the Italian company that designed and built the Bayesian super yacht - the yacht is unsinkable - said after it capsized with the loss of life. Regardless of causation, it wasn’t unsinkable. It was thought to be unsinkable you idiot.

There isn’t a ship on or under the sea that is unsinkable given the right (wrong) circumstances.
Thought they learnt that lesson in 1912

Obviously no icebergs in that area.

Think there was one boat company that one of the coasties told me about but yes even the RNLI don’t claim their lifeboats are unsinkable.

From the last bits I read on the BBC, it does sound like a lot of standard precautions for the conditions weren’t taken.
