The problem is the 4 hours each way, I would like to be back before midnight
Yes that is a long day.
if you use Trainline website and just state Worcester not a specific station in Worcester Off peak day return is £83.50 although some combinations are less. If you want to leave before 9:00 a anytime return is £122.40.
However you might be able to get better pricing if you price from Piccadilly to Worcester and cover the Glossop bit on a separate ticket.
Thanks I shall have a look.
Just hire a car. Trains are fucking shit if you’re travelling alone. Car would be half the time and half the price.
used to have a mate from Glossop. Spent a weekend stoned and living on bong water there - weird place
have a vague memory of whippet of some such doggo stood on the bar of the working mens club, supping on a pint of mild and eating pork scratchings
Actually I don’t know what I’m babbling about, I will be going to collect a car senility is a cruel mistress
Remember to head to head south when you leave Glossop.
Just avoid Hadfield (Royston Vasey)
actually maybe that was where I saw weird shit in the working mens club…
Nice to walk around and reference the opening credits and walk the Longdendale trail
Mrs J is from Glossop so used to visit regularly and enjoyed taking our FoL to Hadfield when they were just about old enough to get that League of Gentlemen was funny. My regret there is never having taken the opportunity to walk up onto Bleaklow moor to look at the B29 wreckage. The weather rarely seemed conducive tbh.
Indeed, I posted in jest.
One for me, and one for Ikea with the harder one too Ikea.
Just ordered some Kallax shelves to replace a set of record shelves that didn’t match the rest plus some extra space as well.
Anyway everything I had is Expedit which has of course been replaced by Kallax. Why didn’t I realise these have thinner edges and therefore don’t match Expedit hight wise.
More importantly why did Ikea think that a good idea. Oh because most peoples OCD will mean they will replace the whole lot eventually.
This is for a 66 plate BMW i3 Rex.I think we have a scammer
We can do everything through the transport company using Shiply, they will take care of everything and arrange the delivery to your address. If this is going to be a quick sale, I will let it go for £6,900 with the delivery charges included. If you decide to buy the vehicle let me know, as I have a lot of people inquiring about and send me an email with your full details (Full name, Address, Phone number). As soon as I have your details I will pass them to the shipping company and they will start the procedures. Next step they will get in touch with you and send you an invoice for the vehicle, the tracking number to check the status of the delivery at any time and all the rest of the transaction details. After you’ve received the invoice you’ll need to make the payment by bank transfer to the transport company (NOT to me) and they will hold the money into their bank account until you receive, inspect and agree to keep the vehicle. For the buyer’s peace of mind I’ve also added a 5 DAYS REFUND POLICY so if you won’t like the vehicle, you’ll receive a full refund, no fees or taxes deducted. If the vehicle is not as described, the transport company will transfer the money back into your bank account. If you decide to keep the vehicle after the 5 days inspection period, you will need to sign the owner transfer papers and only then I will get the money from the transport company.

I have Traby, I will skip Expedit on my next purchase!
They looks nice and solid. However I have equivalent a 4x4 2x4 and 1x4 so I suspect a challenge to get that much Traby second hand.
I have 3 x 4 bay, 3 x 2 bay so 18 compartments.
These are full so when I move I am thinking of a 5x5 Kallax
It doesn’t seem as robust as Traby but I presume it will take the weight OK?
Have you looked at Vinyl Blox?
I have a mixture of Kallax and Expedit. Both are fine for taking weight. The base units are 2 Expedit 4x4 and a Kallax 4x3. There is a further row of 2 1x4 Kallax and 3 1x1 Kallax units on top of the base units (so effectively I have 2 4x5 units and one 3x5 unit). All the units are full. There is no issue with weight bearing.
The baskets on the bottom contain CDs and are rammed.
