That is a lot!
Working aircon is a must as the system is a heat pipe that works both ways and does the heat too. The garage thinks mine is just re-gassing but we will find out next week.

The heat pump is a known issue on Zoe’s
Lucky ours failed on our 71 plate 10000 mile car shortly after purchase it has been replaced under main dealer warranty reportedly a £2.5k.
The salesman said he had talked to the technicians after I highlighted the concern - He said they said -It just needed a lot of gas to fix - There was a limit of £1000 on parts included in the warranty. I might be wrong but It didn’t smell right.
Chap up the road has one. Has had two Teslas, a loaner Jaguar, and an MG 4.
Likes the BYD.
Brother just got the BYD Seal to replace his 6yr old polecat and he’s very impressed with it.
It really is great to drive, brilliantly equipped and great value for money !
I’ve just watched the instructional video and you can plug in an adapter and get 13 amps output. An adapter is under £40 on Amazon.
What range will it give, what size is the battery?
260 miles, 60.4 KWH. They claim that 260 miles is the actual range not WLTP. I will report back later.
I still can’t entertain buying a car that is full of iPads and iPhones
I know they’re electric but why can’t they just have a normal fucking dashboard with a little screen for the satnav and media instead of a fucking 55" TV stuck to the centre console with what seems like double sided sticky tape.

OK grandad…I mean come on, you like minis ![]()
That’s exactly why I won’t buy a new Mini, instead of having the round display built into the centre console like mine it’s now a fucking dinner plate stuck to the console

I have the misfortune to occasionally have to drive the step son’s Mini, I honestly think it’s one of the worst things I’ve driven since the 70s, but each to their own.
That’s 4.3 miles per kWh. Not impossible, but I would be seriously impressed if it could make this consistently.
My Tesla has the same sized battery, and I generally think of it as 200 miles of range; this is what it’ll do in poorer conditions (and the maths is easy). Actually 240 is a better estimate. I think that the only way I could make 260 is to drive in this kind of weather without air con!
If BYD are getting 4.3 real even on a smaller car that’s cool.
I used to get 4.3 in the ID3, it depends on your driving “style” ![]()
You have to drive everywhere fast, that way the fun distracts you from the spine crumbling ride ![]()
Absolutely!
It was the main reason I went for the shit MG. It’s dash wouldn’t have looked out of place in an 80s Rover.
Christ, that does look totally shit.

New cars are dead to me, which is a shame, as not that long ago I used to like and be interested in cars in general, now I cngaf.
My 10yr old honda will be driven into the ground for that reason.
As will the DT, except ill be impressed if it still remains a viable means of transport when its 10yrs old
