The Monarchy (now mostly about money)

A while back now when I ran urgent and emergency care across Shropshire end Telford I did a shift with an ambulance crew and nights with police - fuck me what an eye opener and that’s just in a rural area :scream:

My brother used to be an Ambulance Technician (now Paramedic/HART) in Brighton, some of the things he saw on a weeknight, let alone the weekend!

Well I obviously don’t think you are all robot stormtroopers. I’m just sick of seeing the Police stamp out peaceful protests.

For my money it’s not the police’s job to defend anyone from criticism. Since Pritti Patel’s disgusting law, followed swiftly by the removal of Stephen Bray from outside parliament by the police I question who it is the police are protecting these days. Doesn’t seem to be the public in those cases.

And then theres the controversy of the BLM protest and Colstons statue, dammed if we do, dammed if we dont.

As to who we protect, i think i covered that in a previous post.

No squire you are not, I have two serving police officers in the family, you are quite extraordinary people, very much under appreciated by a public that serves you a shit sandwich at every possible opportunity. Hats off to you all.

Loving the South bank’s toilet solidarity :fist:

No edge, toilets are genuinely needed.

I saw the highlights of todays procession.
Wouldn’t swap any of that for all the tea in China.

Said it as a joke on the ale house last week that Andrew’s first phone call to Charlie will be to ask for his Admirals rank and uniform.

FFS

However, it is understood that a special exception has been made for Prince Andrew to wear military uniform at the final “Vigil of the Princes”, which will be held at the Queen’s lying-in-state at Westminster Hall before the funeral.

And the other lot

Wonder what the combined weight of that many shoulderchips comes to?

Genius move to turn the tide of public opinion against them.

That fucking nonce should have been banished to some forgotten shithole island somewhere remote and never been seen again

Greeter at the Mar-a-Lago dining room or a Las Vegas hotel.

Well it is the Crown rather than the Queen so the lack of offence given is probably why they didn’t all get arrestedđŸ€Ł

Another reason is probably the Warsaw police didn’t give a fuck. :grinning:

The New York Times has been covering the death of the Queen, the accession of the King and getting rather interested in the quirks of British Royalty.
Having covered at some length how the news was conveyed to the Royal bees, today they are concerned about the ownership of swans.
