He’s been blocking free speech elements on Twitter since day 1. Basically when he said he wanted to make the platform free speech, what he wanted was cover to allow more hard-right/Nazi level content.

The parallel with Cummings/Johnson is quite close. I heard an account of a conversation where Cummings wanted advice from a lawyer on just how far Johnson could go with breaking the law before it would start to impact his practical ability to exercise prime-ministerial power. It never came to it of course, but the question was being asked, and we don’t even have a written constitution.

The parallels and timings are so similar it makes you wonder about Robert Mercer and all sorts of other equally meddlesome sphincters.
The timings and run of events worry me distinctly as a parallel to events running up to World War II.
Nothing that is happening right now can be good. The biggest difference, is now most young people are a bunch of wallflower pacifists strapped to their iPhones, cortados and Instagram.
