Completely agree with the big game hunter stuff, and likewise with removing the people driving the whole thing, but I’ve still got no sympathy with anyone, anywhere who commits crimes or abuses anything or anyone, no matter how fucking impoverished they are - others in those communities find other ways to survive without turning to crime.
When you look at the bigger picture, most of these crimes, most habitat destruction, most wildlife poaching, and a million other horrible things humans do to degrade their own environments boil down to overpopulation. Lions snacking on one inept bozo with a rifle, is a tiny step to redress that - and it’ll do more to focus the minds of similar fuckwits than a thousand campaigns from do-gooders and enforcement agencies.
