Bohemian Rapsody hifi nerd spotting, mainly in the EMI office, Garrard 401 in SME plinth, later on a reel to reel with BR on demo. More interesting is an STD/Strathclyde deck behind the cabbage patch bloke.

Meridian MCD sat on coffee table.
1210ā€™s in Capitol Studio with Kenny Everett, a pic on the web in his own studio he had SP10ā€™s with SME arms.

A good effort, but no substitute for the real thing

Was never a big Queen fan,but this is still one of the best performances iā€™ve seen

Masterful. Musically impressive set and the great man held the audience in the palm of his hand.

His vocals are amazing on that set.

Always wondered if Bowie watched it from the side as he was on next.

Under pressure is one of my favourite songs, canā€™t remember if they did it at live aid though?

After Queen left the stage the organisers played the Bowie/Jagger ā€˜Dancing in the Streetā€™ video. Then Bowie was on with TVC 15, Rebel Rebel, Modern Love and Heroes. He gave up the space for Five Years so that the heartbreaking video with Drive as the backing track could be shown.

Shameful.

It was recorded specifically for the Band Aid charity. It had to be a cover as with those two egos it couldnā€™t be a Bowie or Jagger song. They just picked the wrong song.

Any brave meatmen up for this?

Oh yeah, deffo.

There used to be an insect zoo type place in Liverpool, and you could buy things like spicy deep fried giant ants and chocolate covered scorpions in the gift shop, they were yummy.

they are great. But for something more interesting, next time you are in Cambodia get yourself to Skuon (aka Spiderville)

Nothing ā€œbraveā€ about it. Been eating 'em for over 20 years after trying them in Northern Thailand.
Iā€™ve posted many times on tā€™other place.

Silk worms are still my fave.

While dicussing insect eating recently, a Vietnamese colleague remarked ā€œNobody eats insects in Vietnam, except maybe the poorest of the poor, and stupid touristsā€.

I found crickets to be a bit bland, and very dry on their own.

Still very popular amongst locals in Chiang Rai/Mae Sai/Chang Kong. Not dirt cheap either.
Really not aimed at tourists as they are sold in Supermarket kiosks off the main tourist trails.
