Things you no longer see

Unless you’re fishing, of course

Some nice young people trailed video cassette innards all down our quiet leafy culdesac the otherday as it happened.

I’ve nearly got it wound all back on the spools so I can inspect it’s contents…

Interestingly, I found an old porn mag behind a copper cylinder when I was replacing it a few years back. The initial rush of illicit joy was tempered by the realisation that my reminiscing and wonderment at its glossy, creased pages could be mistaken for borderline perving.

The only downside was it was incredibly dry and quite well formed. My delicate touch, which is my unique selling point in my trade, was formed by careful manipulation of wet jazz-mags in hedges.

Yes… I kept the mag.

My elder brother was horrid to me. He glued all the pages of my porn mags together.

Yes. It would be bad to be thought of as borderline.

Did you ever remember huge numbers of moths on the car windscreen? There was a programme on radio 4 recently, they were asking if any people 60+ remembered mothpocalypses.

Frozen pipes. Which is a shame as that was my retirement fund. :frowning:

Apes evolving into humans.

You should get into well digging (only joking, but it is actually a thing). Given what Thames Bloody Water charge me for the privilege of drinking something that’s already been drunk about 3 times before it gets to us I do occasionally think about going ‘off grid’. To be fair I wouldn’t drink the stuff from our well. Too many kids died of cholera and typhoid in this street around 1900 before mains water was finally laid on. But we already water the garden with it and it should be fine for flushing the loos and, with a bit of treatment, maybe even washing in.

Google “UKIP”. As much evidence as you need, although the evolution is not entirely complete.
