Retraining as waterfowl?

It isn’t conclusive, either way, from your pic but are you absolutely sure that it’s a Raven?

Not at all! It’s out of focus and I think I’ve been wrong about >80% of the birds I’ve posted on here.
But I’m keen to learn!!

On structure alone, it looks more like a Carrion Crow to me.

As I said, it’s not a conclusive ID from your pic but look at the bill…

Crow

Dunno but it’s a lovely little thing.

Lost Sarf Lunon Parrot?

Gissa clue Paul: what direction has the prevailing wind been?

It’s arrived here from breeding grounds in Siberia.

They winter in SE Asia.

It’s clearly a Warbler.

They’re not rare in UK (they used to be very scarce migrants)

:open_mouth: You’re speaking to someone who’s surprised and delighted to see blackcaps chiffchaffs and willow warblers pottering around, so beyond guessing it was a warbler of some sort - nope, looks nowt like anything I’d recognise: gorgeous bird, please enlighten?

Was going to guess Arctic or Greenish

Close, correct family! (phylloscopus)

Is it summat like a wood warbler where one parent was albino?

That’s what that (crap-app) Merlin says it is.

It isn’t.

Still, right family, again.
