Twitchers Revisited

Back from the brink

A poor record shot of a couple of ‘Waldrapp’ (the alternative name for Northern Bald Ibis) taken on my visit to the colony at Tamri (Morocco) in 2006

Some form of woodpecker:

Woody.

I see Great Spotted Woodpeckers quite a lot, the juveniles with their red hats seem quite fearless.
i was surprised to see them feeding on the ground, but we had in infestation of leatherjackets (Crane fly larvae) and also plenty of ants on the golf course so all the birds were tucking in.

The lesser spotted Dartmoor flamingo.

Maybe the best Kingfisher shot I’ve ever seen. Outrageous!

Not my pic, unfortunately

Great shot - shame he wasn’t totally square on with it.

Boo, hiss !

Ffs, don’t encourage him. He lives for comments like that.

Still would have been better a few degrees to the right.

Nice, but I prefer the other one. More natural looking.
