It’s plausible. Scones, unlike hot cross buns, aren’t inherently sweet. Haggis scones would only be awful if you were to add raisins/sultanas, glaze the whole lot in some kind of syrup and then maybe put jam on it. Since they’re from north of the border though I am surprised they haven’t been deep fried.
