Life is short: Enjoy Nice Things - it’s the ones who think they can take it with them that need help…
You’ve met my mum then
Also ordered Joe Henderson Multiple, along with Idris Muhammad House of the Rising Sun and Pharaoh Sanders Thembi
I’ll definitely check that out. Thanks.
I picked up the Curtis Amy on the way home today
I’ve certainly met a few of them over the years. Local mate with a matter of weeks left to live has been putting off having a holiday with his partner for years, putting off fixing his home, putting off fixing his cars, &c, &c, &c, all for years - now he’s urgently getting all sorted so he can be the wealthiest man in the fucking graveyard. Not to be flippant, but it’s breaking my fucking heart watching it… He’s only 64. Apologies for the downer. I am drink.
The one who dies with the most toys wins
If he’s the same fella you’ve mentioned before, then that is tough to deal with.
Aye. Not for me to wallow, it’s not me doing the dying. Lost another old friend from the museums world this AM so I’m even more than usually maudlin…
