What are the truly great albums since 2000?

Radiohead - Kid A

The Postal Service - Give Up

I’ve had too much beer.

They are just records that continue to sell well, aren’t they?

The Arcade Fire - Funeral

The Flaming Lips - Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots

For what it’s worth, I think the new Low album is a belter.

They do nothing for me. :frowning:

But Drums and Guns was better …

Different times, the level of sales and the buying public’s interest in decent music has declined in direct proportion to the creation of bands for talent shows, X factor etc.
I am not sure you will ever get albums that get the sort of recognition you are talking about.

Instead of Thriller, or Dark Side or Sgt Peppers the biggest thing in sales in the 2000’s was probably Susan Boyle.

Sigur Ros - Ágætis Byrjun

Stop googling lists Mibby!

I have all these!

OutKast ‘Stankonia’

Drive-by Truckers - The Dirty South

Editors - The Back Room

Half Man Half Biscuit - Achtung Bono

Ooooh, where do I start

1968 ?

Surprised @mibby hasn’t nominated that

Or thereabouts :+1:
