I appreciate that Guy, but I’m not really prepared to trawl through 6 hours of tapes to make a compilation out of them.
Tell you what though, whoever did the tapes must have had some good kit because they’re really good recordings. Would be ironic if they were recorded from the iplayer or DAB.
Most of it will have been from CD but there was usually also some live studio material which might be worth keeping.
On a recent visit to Badgerville I was given a couple of double CD’s of live sets from Dermot O’Leary’s Saturday Sessions. I like some of it & don’t like other bits but it all does sound very immediate & quite intense which may be a by product of the relative simplicity of the process they use to record these people live on the day.
