A statement from Mark E. Smith’s sisters came out today to explain that he had been diagnosed with terminal lung and kidney cancer in early 2017. Even the chemo didn’t stop him from finishing the recording of a new LP and playing live as much as he could right up to the end. This is getting streamed here tonight:

No, only heard about it today TBH and the DVD at least is apparently unobtanium. I hadn’t listened to his music in a few years, so I’m well out of date, albeit he’s instantly recognisable in every guise - he’s a one-off to treasure 
Going to see him next week.
The session earlier this evening was pretty good, look forward to the new album.

Conclusion:
Some good stuff, but the bad outweighs the good. Probably one to flog.
Would agree with that.
IMO, the only solid Album of theirs is Rainbow head.
