I quite enjoy seeing the food in some of these Mark Wiens films.

The History of Christianity.

If you like that kind of thing, itā€™s well researched, presented by an expert in the field and fascinating stuff.

fantastic , reminds me of visiting lots of pakistani villages a few years back

Starts OK, becomes magnificent.

Edit: although on reflection there is more that could be said. The Passions of Vaughan Williams is still better, but then a) that is almost universally true and b) it doesnā€™t have Holst.

What channel, Bob?

Iā€™m going to give the 1st Formula E race of the season a chance this weekendā€¦it may end in tears, but you never know.

Donā€™t forget your ear defenders

Iā€™ll just turn down the volume on the TV, cosā€™ they are SO LOUD!

No idea they were contemporaries.
Reminded me of a time spent listening (to this) with the late Mad Latvian.
Neither of us so much as twitched throughout.
Knocks my socks clean off every timeā€¦

Heat.

I really like Michael Mann and his production.

Kilmer, Pacino, DeNiro. Cheesy, unrealistic buts I still love it. Especially with a bit of trifle.

Mrs Wilson, on BBC. The true story of Ruth Wilsonā€™s (of Luther and The Affair) family, where she plays her grandmother.

Also, just finishing up Sharp Objects.

Really enjoying it!

I thought it was ok, but a little slow. The ending is good though

SPOTY

Now that my ears have recovered from the shredding that Paloma Faith gave them at the beginning, Iā€™m looking forward to it.

Vote Jimmy ftw.

BBC Sports Personality of the Year. Sheā€™s only gone to warm the meal up and taken the remote with her.

ā€œSealineā€™s on a shirtā€ being sung by a couple of geriatrics.

FFS!
