Watched Blackhawk Down last night, on Blu-ray. Don’t think I’d actually seen it before. Really good. Early Ridley Scott picture, with an amazing amount of people in it who I’ve seen recently in newer things. Very intense! I’m not especially into war movies, but this was really very good indeed.

Really enjoying Dracula. A very good retelling.
Thought A Christmas Carol was ok, Scrooge’s redemption was a bit shallow. I think Alastair Sim is still Scrooge number 1.
I thought the first 2 eps of Christmas Carol were terrific but they left themselves with a lot to do and so the last one seemed very rushed and slightly spoiled the series through not pacing it correctly.
Dracula is quite excellent 
Given Alien was 1979 not sure 2001 was early, damn he’s been making movies a long time.
