Great film
Yes, It kind of looks slightly dated now but the story and performances mean it still more than stands up. It really is quite disturbing - there are no heroes, just spite, revenge and death.
Good time to stick the boot into them then, no?
Nice music in it too as I recall.
Kind of sad!
Andrew Neil interview a composed Keir Smarmy.
And shred RLB (awkwardly evasive and in danger of looking like a bit of a fibber).
Just poo’d myself and not even half way through
Better call Saul.
The Day the Dinosaurs Died.
Yet another WoTW’s (yeah, I know, but I’m a glutton for punishment)
Set in the present day, I’ll give it a chance.
I’m recording that just in case it’s watchable.
Let us know what you think and I’ll give it a go over the weekend if you reckon it’s worth the effort.
Wheeler Dealers
I remember when I had to keep my succession of old bangers going by my own efforts rather than paying someone else to do it for me, so this meant visits to scrapyards, and my local scrappy used to have a red & white Mach 1 on top of a container. It was pretty much all there apart from the engine, gearbox and wheels (yes, I know…) and in pretty good nick. I sort of halfheartedly used to enquire as to it’s availability and it was always “Not For Sale. Ever”.
Then one day it was gone, “Oh, you sold it then?” “Nah, crushed it…” Cunts!
Nooooooooo!
They were near RAF Burtonwood and there were loads of yank tanks around there, a guy in my mum’s road used to have a proper 70s pimpmobile Cadillac, and there were plenty of Corvettes around. I guess the situation would be similar in Lincolnshire or wherever else there was a USAF presence.
All gone now of course.
