Yes so far it’s been great. They seem to have left the out of sync/multiple timelines behind this season for the better.

I used to think he was a bit of a twat but have been really impressed with his shows on the US, Russia and Oztralia

I went to a talk by him, he spoke of his upbringing (which was not easy) and how he got into doing what he is doing. He came across really well, he’s the polar opposite of the majority of the privileged twats on TV.

Yes I was aware he had a difficult start & left school with no qualifications iirc.
I first became aware of him through the films he made called ‘Holidays in the Danger zone’ about frozen conflicts and another series called ‘Places that don’t exist’ about countries that aren’t really indicated on established maps. But always a good watch.

Watched Escape from Alcatraz with the fam last night. Quality.

What is noticeable - and I like about many 70s films - is the pacing. There is is little unnecessary lingering or exposition. 1hr 50m thanksverymuch bosh.
