What I'm watching (Part 1)

Looks promising as expected.

Scheduled for apoplexy as soon as I’ve finished Ru Paul’s 12 seasons of Drag Race. I am nursing what could be and award winning ulcer.

Britain by Balloon - Lake District.

James Martin doing Cooking on islands or summat on ITV.

Tales from the Loop gets progressively more turgid.
Nice to look at but some story please.

Still Game

It’s not a show that will satisfy your instant gratification monkey. Sounds like you’d be happier with something from Michael Bay.

The review in the Guardian said it was lovely to look at but there is something missing - nothing ever happens!

You just have to let it wash you along.

I’m not complaining, it is the first thing I have watched from beginning to end in ages

I enjoy it.
But it could be so much better.
The latter episodes were a 5 minute sketch stretched into an hour.
And the music. It’s just music and scenery.
Nice, though.

Ozark Season 3. Superb!

Star Trek Picard. So far, excellent. I’m really enjoying the blending of sci-fi and more ā€œreal worldā€ stuff. Almost reminds me of a more serious version of Firefly in that regard.

I thought the ending was pants.

So was that bit he pretended to be French.
Some of the acting went utterly haywire in the closing episodes.

It was great in parts and woeful in others.
Strange. I’d watch it again but they need a little quality control.

Yep I’m pretty much in agreement with that summary. It started out well, and lost its way, although I stuck with it, and it certainly wasn’t total dross. But it was almost as if they were totally on a roll for a bit, and then the writers went AWOL and somebody’s mate threw together an ending, in their lunch break.
