“Fuck that kind of contamination” - Stronzi (2020)

Jetsprint on Freesports.

BONKERS :+1:

AVA on Brainflix

A long stabbyshooty cliche. 6/10

Possibly the worst casting decision ever for Keanu but worth it alone for Gary Oldman…

That’s a cracking film, other than Reeves.

Wrong Thread…

Many Mercans believe that Brits pronounce and converse just so…

Generous of you, 0.6 perhaps…

What on earth was John Malkovich doing in that turgid mess? He must’ve needed to re-do the roof…

Maybe he was slipped a bung by the Association of Fast Forward Button Replacement and Maintenance Companies.

Worth it just so that John Grant could write a song about it years afterwards.

Despite the unlikely looking cast not bad at all for a Dracul less Vampire film…

Later tonight…

Going to have to empty the telly of dead bodies and testosterone tomorrow morning.

Some small spoilers

I watched all of Picard over the last couple of days. I didn’t read any reviews beforehand and I still haven’t so I don’t know what the critical reaction has been.

I really, really enjoyed it and it’s a fine addition to the Star Trek universe.

It felt like a love letter to the character and perhaps to Stewart himself. I did see the criticism up the thread about the silly French pirate scene in one of the episodes but thinking back, TNG was always stuffed to the gills with daft stuff like this, so I’m unrepentant in my enjoyment.

The introduction of old faces was handled fantastically. I thought Troi, Riker and 7of9 were all handled beautifully and with great pacing. There were some lovely touches and the levels of schmaltz were kept in check.

As a big fan of TNG when it originally aired, I don’t mind admitting shedding a tear at the end.

We need more booblar.

I loved Picard, I pretty much feel about it exactly like you do.

There’s always been camp daft stuff, going back to TOS, The Trouble With Tribbles or A Piece Of The Action anyone? It’s part of the canon.

I need to give Discovery another go, I struggled through the first series, and ignored the 2nd. Apparently the 3rd is good so as I have some time on my hands I might catch up.

Totally agree.

Discovery really is a mixed bag, the current series is quite different to those that preceded it.

I really like Discovery, Picard OTOH , I’ll just say not my cup of tea.
