Guy Garvey vaults 77. Fantastic and a nice bit on tony Wilson and his ill fated two series programme on new wave music. Apparently Iggys live gig on the show was just too much for the management at Granada.

Never knew Heroes was written by Bowie after he saw tony Visconti and one of his backing singers kissing under the shadow of the Berlin wall, they were having a secret affair. First played live in Bolands children’s pop show, different days indeed. Sadly Boland died before that show aired and Bowie released the single shortly after.

Keep meaning to re-watch that!
