Just watched it. Even my daughter watched it all and she is shocking for giving up on ‘slow’ films. Good film
What makes you think there’s only one?
There was only really one.
Manhunter.
Saw that in the Filmhouse in Edinburgh when it came out.
Sorry. A bit nostalgic for Edinburgh, youth etc.
There are good reasons to move back and good reasons not to move back
I’d say there were two fundamental ones, where she was and who she was (trying to avoid spoilers!). I suppose you could say they amount to one overall twist, but I experienced them quite separately.
Is it on Netflix?
Yep
Thanks, will check out!
Watched the first three episodes of Domina on Sky Atlantic. It is utter, nay utter, pish.
You get a like for saving me the bother of finding out for myself
Tried it, thought it would make a great ten minute short film, bit too predictable for my liking . The trapped in a small box routine has been done better elsewhere and the “twist” was arrived at with the fast forward button in full use.
Different tastes and all that.
With sleep interrupted by a sick child, I watched the original Westworld, enjoyable for the comedy portrayal of advanced computers. Then watched 3/4 of Anna, which, well, they know their market…
Animal Farm.
Britain’s first feature length animated film, certainly different enough from Disney to be interesting and worth a watch
It’s great, and still very relevant.
Nerd fact. The studio model for the mothership has an R2D2, a TIE fighter, a bus, a mailbox and a graveyard, amongst other stuff, as exterior details.

@coco and I saw it at the air & space museum at Dulles airport (along with an XR71, the Enola Gay, a shuttle and various other iconic items. The Close Encounters ship was impressively detailed and beautifully made.
Delia Derbyshire: The Myths and Legendary Tapes - BBC4 now.
Fascinating!
